Little Man is synthetic because I can relate to him. When I was young I was just like by how he doesn't like getting his clothes or anything dirty. When I was a kid I didn't want any thing to be dirty and when it got dirty I needed to have it washed immediately. Also, I like how Little Man stood up to the teacher and how he showed how strong he is and how he will stand up to anybody.

This book takes place in the Mississippi in the 1900's. The main character is Cassie brothers Christopher, John, and Stacey. They attend a mostly white school with them being African American. They kinda broke the bus and made the white students walk because of the racial comments. After this they had a huge strawberry incident with Mr.Simms shoving Cassie off the road and Uncle Hammer having a problem with that.
