I've noticed something - as Stephen King gets older, he gets less creepy and more corny. We're talking Field of Dreams corny here. He still manages to spin a good yarn, but where is all the blood and guts and disquieting dialogue? We're left with moments of American-as-apple-pie-aw-shucks cheesiness instead.
