Devante finally told the real reason to why King is looking for him. Starr's dad made him move to her uncle's house so he can be safe. Starr's dad had finally found out about her boyfriend Chris. He was not very happy about that at all. Devante is telling Starr how Kahill used to talk about her and that he was not a king lord.

Starr has to give Devante her old laptop, and Kenya makes her feel like she's not doing enough for Kahill. There are tanks driving around the nierborhood. Also, the DA wants to talk to Starr and she's going to tak to them.

Mr. Lewis had told the news reporter, who had jumped the police officers and Starr dad called him a snitch. Shortly after that, the police came and they checked Starr's dad. They told him that they are going to be watching him.

Starr is over her family's house and there still are shootings going on. Also she gets to reconnect with her boyfriend. Now she's listening to her father tell his gang stories.

There were a lot of protesting going on over Khail' death. The news reporter said that they wasn't going to arrest the police officer that killed him. This makes Starr feel like it was her fault, because she didn't tell all the story. Then the next morning her and her brother, Steven got their phones taken away, because they went to the basketball court without letting their parents know.

Starr and her family goes to Kahil's funeral at a church they used to go to. Starr feels like she is a bad friend and that she betrayed Kahil. After they left the funeral, they went home. Later after that, they were gunshots going off outside their homes. They don't know what's going on. Also the police officer that killed Kahil, is not getting arrested.

Starr is now playing basketball in gym. Chris, her boyfriend, keep asking her about what happened the last time they talked. Starr's friend Hailee had told Starr that act as if the ball is a piece of chicken, you won't even let it pass you. Starr took that as an racist comment and snapped, because Starr is black and Hailee is white. She took it that way, because she's the only lack girl there.

Starr is finally telling the detectives what happened on the day Kahill died. They are not really happy what her answers. Brenda, Kahill's mom, had finally came to her senses and is trying to be there for her dead son.

Starr is going back to school from spring break and reuniting with her friends. She finally gets to talk to Chris her boyfriend and the problem between them. Later she has to talk about her friend's death.

Starr and her family went to go see Kahil family. They just talked about about Kahil's death and how he was a drug dealer.
