This book gives a nice overview on types of conflicts, types of solutions and ways of dealing with different people in an effective way.

Amazing read for understanding people and building yourself up. Written in a style that inspires rather than bores you. I know it's more an education text than a traditional self-help book, but this book really bridges the gap between both genres.
