A fantastic (but gargantuan) read that I highly recommended for learning about early American government. If you're a writer, Chernow's impressive command of language and narrative's talent offer richer and more evocative forms of expression (vocabulary, but also the combined effect of history and storytelling). Despite the density, Chernow keeps things alive and rolling with every well-crafted phrase.
