I finished The Glass Dragon, but don't know if I plan to continue on to the next one.

Given the nature of the love story in this book, I'm surprised a woman wrote this.

I called that twist a million years ago.

Jaylor is such a douche. And the dialogue he shares with Brevelan is A) unrealistic, and B) full of shitty things to say.
I seriously almost DNFed this, but then I remembered that Brevelan killed her husband and wouldn't want Jaylor to know that, so that made it entertaining again.

What's wrong with not eating meat, Jaylor?
Also, I'm not particularly happy with his remark about "only a man can heal the hurt inside you" or whatever. It doesn't matter how a man hurt Brevelan in the past. She definitely doesn't need a man. If she wants one, fine. But she could totally heal without one.

What kind of name is Jaylor? You'd think a jailer would be called that, if anyone.
