Garett makes friends with a boy named Paul. Paul is a veteran of lake harmony and is a skinny scrouny looking kid. Then Paul introduces Garett to Sarah who is a red headed pretty looking girl. They were put in the same group together and Garett and Sahara are the only two people Garett doesn't think they are losers.

Garett is in the processing room and is waiting for someone to visit him. He know the others are in major trouble and will more than likely be kept in isolation. Then Garett's mom and dad walk in frantic. They ask have you been abused hit or mentally abused. Garett explains everything that has happened to him while he was at lake harmony. His parents infuriated with lake harmony take garret out and file a law suit.

The man with the hat knows Garett because he works at lake harmony and calls for the troll to come pick them up. He delayed them until they showed up. Garett was thrown in the back seat. But Garett had the chance to tell his parents over the phone about the truths of lake harmony.

Garett Sarah and Paul run up on a yellow house a truck a younger woman and a man with a cowboy hat on talking o front of the house. Garett approaches them looking for a phone. Garett and the others had know outside connection they couldn't write call email at text anyone.

When Garett Sahara and Paul are in the woods they come across many roads. They spend most of the day hiding from cars and with Sarah's broken ankle they don't move a great distance. One of the reasons lake harmony was placed in the middle of know where is to prevent kids from making it very far. But The group says different.

Once they are sure the black shirts are focused on everything else but them. They make there move. Sahara stashed a heavy blanket by the south end of the fence where they would head towards. It was closest to the woods and had a blind side for the guard tower. They throw the blanket over the barbed wire and start to climb. When Sahara goes she falls and sprained her ankle garret and Paul then carry her to cover.

Garett Sarah and Paul stick to the plan. Sarah locks the breaker box with a lock she snuck in with her when she first arrived to lake harmony. Once they pull the main breaker chaos erupts. Kids are yelling screaming and in mahmem. They not have a few minutes to execute their plan.

Once Garett is out of isolation he goes out to the yard to play some football. Then Paul comes up to him and very fast talks about how he will pull the reader and then the power and alarms will be off. He then says chaos will happen and then they will be able to escape.

Garett is put in to isolation for multiple days. He lays on the cold cement for hours on end. Then joe walks in and asks him if he can write a letter to Sarah. He does and they know Garett doesn't mean what he feels. The reason he's there in the first place is because he exposed joe and his goons.

Garett has trouble with joe and his goons. Joe is the enforcer of the group. Garett is friends with Paula and Sarah who have been veterans of lake harmony and have stayed there for years. Garett wonder how strong they have to be mentally to deal with all the torture physically and mentally.
