Chapter 5 Warsaw is starting to get bombed Uri and the boys only go out at night and stealing food becomes more easier because there aren't many people around. After the sirens stop Uri and Stoptheif leave the cellar during the day and start to follow a crowd of people. Stoptheif decides to run ahead of the crowd and runs into a jackboot but the jackboot lets him go.

Chapter 4 Uri presents Stopthief with a mattress in the morning and he takes him to a bombed out clothing store. Then he starts to scrub Uri clean and takes new clothes and gives him a haircut. People in Warsaw built trenches and set up sand bags to stop the Greman tanks. Sirens began to ring letting people know to take shelter.

On chapter 3 of Milkweed Uri takes to barn where he meets a group of boys and he notices a pile of food and stolen items. A boy begins to ask Stopthief questions about his age religion and name but he can't answer any or the questions because he dosen't even know his own name and the boys decide to call him a gypsy.
