it was very true. It was showing how nature is beautiful but brutal at the same time.

They are talking about Alex and how he grew up but never really grew up

I think the main character Alex is completely crazy how he thinks he can drop everything and do what he wants. How he thinks he could make life an adventure and never settle down and move to Alaska and live their out in the wild by himself

The main character is Alex the boy who wanted to run away from life and go an adventure and so he did going out into the wild Alaskan frontier.

"I now walk into the wild" this is Alex explaining that he is going to Alaska with the things he has. This is him writing a letter to his friend and this is the last time he ever writes to him before he is found dead.

"I prayed." this is a quote that may seem general and it is but it can be used for so much. This is after Franz one of Alexs friend after they found out he was dead. they hoped he did not go to alaska but he did.
