Right now, Lenin has all the power in Russia. There is still fighting about if there should be a communist government or a government lead by Bolsheviks. The most significant event I have recently read about is the murder of the Romanovs. This resulted in many people having different emotions. Many anti-tsars were very happy. Other people who liked the tsar were heartbroken. It was very sad that the kids got killed.

A rebellion of peasants has forced the Romanovs from power in Russia. They have had to evacuate and are currently in a house in Tobolsk in Siberia. Meanwhile in Russia, Lenin and his Bolshevik folllowers are attempting a revolt against the Provisional Government. Anastasia is the best character in the book so far. In dark times, she adds some humor and makes everyone feel happier and joyful.
