ARGH!!! This ends on an absolutely evil cliffhanger!! Like, in midscene. BOOOOOOO! This is the kind of thing that leads me to stop reading a series.

Smart move, Idamus. ARGH.

Orannia: THAT is a very good question.

orannia Maybe authors think they will make us more likely to pick up their next book? Actually, cliff-hangers make me less likely to pick up the next book.

Chris Me, too. *sigh* I stopped reading that -fever series by Karen Marie Moning because of one too many cliffhangers...

orannia I won't pick it up because of the cliff-hangers, even though the books are out. And there was an urban fantasy series - Weather Warden - that I stopped because of cliff-hangers.

Had a discussion with a friend yesterday about picking up books that you know will annoy you. I just try not too :)

Chris I stopped reading Weather Warden for the same reason! :D I stopped reading Kim Harrison's urban fantasy series after my favorite character was killed. Hmph.
