Luis J. met Tony, the chicano son of a union activists. Tony and Luis have become closer, despite their past. he's moving forward and attend government meetings. Attending school never stopped him to attend the movimiento chicano. I feel that this very strong coming from him i can totaly relate to his life i look forward to read more.

Luis got involve more into the chicano movement.luis and his wife open his house to have meetings and analyzed the economic/political situations and how to respond in the most effective way. this book has gotten really interesting i look forward to read more.

Luis J. Rodriguez got married and moved in with camila. Luis had to get used to get the life he was planning. It's hard for him but he know it will overcome. i look forward to read more.

At this point Luis j. rodriguez has met a young lady name Camila who is his girlfriend, he did everything to get Camila's mother to approve him. Camila's mother Hortencia was a tough although she will give Luis hard time at first but he passed her test. Luis learned to honor Hortencia for her strong spirit she've come long way with no man. Hortencia was a role model to Luis.

At this point Luis J. Rodriguez has decided to stop gang banging and doing drugs too. He joined MECha, his mentality has change which lead his life to change as well. Luis have come a long way the gangs, drugs, broken family and the streets, now his proud of making changes in his life. Came to conclusion that everything is possible and nothing can be impossible everything is in our hands.

The author Luis j. Rodriguez last words he heard before he left the clanging locks and gates of downtown Los angeles County Jail, He challenge drugs who's still manage doing his work. He met activist who's courage him to join but yet luis wasn't ready to change his life he wanted to learn on himself. Although he will but not now. I'm willing to know more about luis life.
