Astrid has left on her journey to Perdido Beach. I think this happening was just to cause some anxiety for Sam, which may put him off in battles to come. The lake has been put into an emergency state with everyone out on the lake in different boats. This is due to drake and the coyotes killing Howard and there luckily being a witness who could run back to the lake and tell Sam in anticipation.

The FAYZ has now completely gone black. It is in total darkness now. The only source of light comes through the eerie green glow of Sammy Suns. Drake is on another manhunt, and is killing anything in his path, no matter who or what they are. The novel is shaping up to have another thrilling finish, however this one feels scarier and much more dangerous than the other exciting finishes in the other novels.

The previous chapters and the current chapter i'm currently in have been a little slow, in contrast to other chapters throughout the book. The black stain is just about to cover the whole FAYZ, creating complete darkness. We are seeing a little bit more of Drake now, but the power and danger of the Darkness does not seem as strong as it has before as the danger of the stain isn't coming from the Darkness.

I'm still at the start of fear. The barrier is changing colour turn the rich, dark black, which is very concerning for the people in the FAYZ.
The Darkness is still looming, but has not yet made any action towards the people.
Things are all set for the 'Endgame' as Sam in the novel said. It is going to be a good finish.
