Hi Corey! I saw Michener on your list and have a couple to recommend if you like: "The Drifters" was fairly compelling to me a few years back. About a small group of wanderlust hippies in the late sixties. It was a good overview of the ideals contrasting with political and social norms of that decade, plus a great story of love, growing up, and finding one's way. I also remember really enjoying "Iberia" probably for the same style etc, as you are finding in Mexico. But man! even his paperbacks aren't exactly portable, they're so huge. Take care, Brynn
