Keysha's family is sticking with her through this rough time. She realizes that her step mom is really on her side and not against her and that makes her feel better. She was looking for love from somebody and her dad is giving her all the love she needs.

They find drugs in Keysha's locker that aren't hers. They make her go down to the police station and get questioned. Barbra finally starts to like her.

Liz gets to this party and is very out of it. She starts dancing with Liz and Liz is bisexual so Liz starts to feel up on Keysha. Only in a matter of seconds Keysha sees Mike.

Keysha is planning to sneak out on a Friday night and go out with her friend Liz. She is very nervous about this plan but she is more than willing to try it. She tries it and it was pretty much successful.

She finally gets a moment to herself with her dad. They actually get to learn a little bit about each other. Her step mother isn't really a big fan of her. When she sees Keysha and her dad talking she rudely interrupts.

She finally moves to her new school. They placed her in the remedial classes, she isn't too happy about this. She met a friend that she could kind of relate to.

Keysha thinks her step mother doesn't care for her at all. It's now a jealousy issue because she thinks her dad gives her step mom Barbara more attention. Her grandmother Katie will be moving out soon and that's the only person that is concerned about her.

Keysha finally moves in with her father. It's very new she isn't used to having everything she needs. She actually has her own space, along with new shoes. She isn't really comfortable because she feels like a charity case. She thinks all of this stuff is temporary and her time there will be up soon.

A case worker named Maggie has came and got Keysha. She is in the state system now, and she is staying in a group home. She's very angry about this situation but there isn't much she can do about it. Keysha doesn't know who her real father is and Maggie is going to try and help find him. This is a very hard time for and she has no guidance or anyone to talk to about these issues.

Keysha's life is pretty much going down hill now. Her mom ends up going to jail for prostitution and having illegal drugs. They are very behind on the rent and they had an eviction notice on the door. Keysha ends up having to go to a foster home and that doesn't sit well with her. She also gets into a fight with her friend Toya and Toya cuts her with a straight blade.
