I just finished Mockingjay, and it left a haunting aura in my mind. I loved the series (this being the first time I've read any of the book) and the ending was really good. I cried for all my favorite characters who ended up dead (or drunk ;)). I would definitely read the books again.

Jess Hey Allison, it's Jess! So, I didn't like the last book very much, but I know people (obviously you included) who did. What did you like so much about it?

Allison I just thought it was a good book. I hated that all my favorite characters had to die and that Katniss was moping around almost the entire time, but I loved how Gale and Peeta started to become friends, President Snow put the idea to kill Coin into Katniss' mind (I was so happy that she died), and Katniss finally chooses between Gale and Peeta. To me, it was one of the more realistic books, and that captivated me more than the world of Panem with bright colors, districts in obedience, and the Games that people enjoyed watching. It seemed messed up to me, but when the rebellion reached its peak in the last book, it felt real. Like it would actually happen.

Jess Yeah, I guess that's true. I just don't like how political it is. It's like she changed genera's completely in the book. It went from complete fiction to some political book disguised under the fiction. I guess that's probably what drove me crazy about it. I don't like political books very much... :)

Allison I don't like politics either, but I think she did a good job keeping the fiction above the politics.
