I read for 3 hours MoaG is about a girl named Chiyo and her life as a Geisha. Chiyo still hasn't found Setsu and still thinks she's a cocoon just like her. Hatsumomo just got back to the okiya with her friend drunk. Hatsumomo tells how she'd blackmailed a maid into stealing another geishas kimono and buying another kimono for Hatsumomo with the maids own money. She just told Chiyo to put the kimonos in the shed.

I read for 2 1/2 hours (this and to 160) Mameha is explaining to Chiyo about how she will be selling her virginity to the highest bidder by using an analogy about caves and eels. It made me so happy we have health class. Also Pumkin and her big sister have implied to mr. Nobu that Chiyo isn't a virgin and had a boyfriend.

Mameha is postponing making Chiyo her little sister so she has time for meeting people and getting noticed. Mameha has also been giving Chiyo lessons on how to walk, greet someone, and send messages with her eyes.

I read for an hour Mameha says Chiyo is stuck being a maid because Mother won't pay for geisha lessons for a cocoon that no one would want to big sister. Then Mameha asks if Chiyo "checks her almanac" and Chiyo said no she didn't. Geisha are very superstitious and so Mameha shows Chiyo how to check her almanac before telling Chiyo go home but to tell no one that she was with Mameha.
