I like that Mile is starting to like the dog that hangs around their home. I love that they got a new snow mobile for better comute. I also love the single shotgun from the family, its primative structure seems to feel so nice. But anyway I think that the family is going to make it through the winter and have a better life in the future.

I can't believe that Brush the dog got shot! I am very bumed out that Brush is now dead but he could have had rabies which made him attack Sarah. I wish Brush was still alive. :<

I think that the book will be pretty good from how it starts out. The brother Miles is one of the caretakers for the family and is very kind and generous though will also take a life to save his family. I also found the plot to be interesting: A volcanoe eruption has plunged the war into caos, made oil a very scarse product, and made all of America an unfree dangerous wasteland.
