Phew - finally finished Book 3. I really enjoyed the character of Caesar. It is clear that Ms McCulloch likes him too and her enthusiasm for his adventures, and the whole period shines through in every word. I love how keen she is to bring to life the day to day world of Ancient Rome as well as its politics and law.
