It's impossible for me to feel anything but intense loathing towards Rousseau, cultivated as he is. It's not the sexism or the lack of romanticism, I just feel that his fundamental philosophical principles are completely wrong. I believe the exact opposite of his statement that men are inherently good but society makes them evil. The "state of nature" is just a lie. Sorry.
