[pursed lip smile] I had been coming around to it… and then the unspeakable monster was a butterfly. That is so god damned corny in a book that was already pretty corny, and I’m not sure I want to keep going.

I’m curious to see how this is new weird and not just fantasy or sci fi. Maybe I’m just jaded, but a lady with a bug head, and a world with other creatures does not new weird make.
