The author has spent nearly 50 pages trying to convince the characters in this book - and by extension, the readers - that Angela is capable of going on this undercover mission. If Angela was a dude, this merry-go-round of repetitive, doubt-filled conversations would have lasted about 5 pages. #thisiswhyishouldsticktoMM

This book is set first in Paris, and now somewhere in the UK (presumably London), but there is ZERO sense of place. This may as well be set in any generic US city for all the flavour and depth this author has given the setting of her story.
