I keep seeing this cover around and have to ask... is the hero an owl shifter? Because that would be awesome. Sorry to hear you're not enjoying the story so far though. :(

One of his shifter animals is an owl, yes. These shifters don't just have one form. Some don't shift at all, but most of the people can at least shift into two forms. Others are able to shift into more. The hero can shift into seven, but even that isn't the highest they can go.

Others are able to shift in..."Thanks Catherine! Hmmm... I'm not a big fan of PNRs where the shifters can change into multiple animal forms. It typically feels like overkill when they aren't restricted to one animal. Think I'll be skipping this one.
