"christ-centered hermeneutics" and "christological hermeneutics" keeps getting bandied about, but i can't define them. he's failing to recognize the pre-reflective nature of hermeneutics that necessarily precedes a post-chalcedonian reading of the text; that is to say, simply recognizing that christ is/was the god-man in history does not in itself provide a hermeneutic—much less a compulsory one.
