Richard may have found a part of the root. Juliette decided to clean and empty Ewan’s old room and wants to donate his items. Richard thinks of still creating a family at Starve Acre. They may be past the worst of the grief.

(Past) They thought Ewan was having trouble because of school. Ewan and his parents played in the snow and made a snowman, and he seemed happy. After, Richard and Juliette took a bath together and made love then slept peacefully. The next morning, Ewan snuck out and was violent to the snowman, stabbing then decapitating them. He got in trouble with Juliette and Richard tried to reason with her.

Richard captured the hare in two crates and released it into the forest at sunset. The snow and ice was clearing and spring was beginning.

Juliette seems unnaturally at peace and won’t tell why. The hare bones that Richard had slowly gained tendons and muscle back. The hare went from just bones to a hare with a full body, but still not alive.

The Gordons came to the house and did their ritual(?) it seemed to be going well, but Juliette “saw” something in the dark and kept looking over. After the ritual, Mrs. Forde looked up the stairs into the dark and went pale and sweaty. She also saw something and they left quickly. (I think something went wrong)

Juliette tried her best to keep an eye on Ewan whenever he could. Ewan was acting strange and said he saw the tree, but Richard said it’s not there. (Present > ) Richard found another page that talks about Jack Grey, a creepy folklore character of the woods.

Juliette is going insane and angrily refuses her sisters advice to see her psychiatrist

Richard finished having blood taken. (Past) Ewan acted out of character again and started a fire in his room. He got in trouble and was taken to the doctor for his cough. He seems to be wary of something that his parents cannot see.

Richard went to Gordon’s house (a beacon). Gordon knows the family but seems like he doesn’t care much for the lives of animals (the pets) and threatens them with words. Gordon is preparing to test Richard? Syringe at side of bath? Richard is going into it willingly and it seems fine for now

Harrie tried to get her to eat and failed, then tried to get her to sleep next to her for the night for a chance to talk and failed that as well.
