At this part in the book, Ava and Alex have grown closer with each other. They have shared moments that they have never shared with anyone else. Eventually they realized each others feelings and Alex says, "When I'm not with her, I wish she were there. When I am with her, I want that moment to last forever." pg. 212 Alex went from cold to caring the most. I think something will tear them apart for a while.

Ava Chen's older brother Josh is moving away for his job. In return, Josh's best friend, Alex Volkov, agreed to watch Ava while Josh was away. As Alex and Ava are forced to hang out more, they realize the company isn't all that bad. “Those who bottle up their emotions every day feel the strongest and love the hardest" (Huang 78). I think Alex is going to start falling for Ava, after not falling for anyone ever.
