It's not a bad collection of short stories, but, so far, I haven't found them as entertaining as the writings of Robert E Howard or as eloquent as Algernon Blackwood's John Silence. John Thunstone and Lee Corbet, the protagonist and antagonist of these stories, are much like Sherlock Holmes and Moriarty, but of the occult and lacks the wit and charm found in Doyle's work.
