I especially liked Gary Soto's writing style in this piece. Its about a chola teen and he writes and expresses her actions, feelings, and words to sound very real to the reader. He also mixes in spanish words to give the reader an idea of whats going on an to emphasize spmething important. For instance Marissa told Rene that he uses los pantalones meaning that hes the one for her (from my point of view).

3. So far, from my point of view, I think that Marissa is going to end up falling in-love with Rene. I also think that the new transfer to another school wont help her at all and that she is still going to be a trouble maker. Either that, or maybe get picked on. That is why I think the book is called "Accodental Love", because the love that might grow between Marissa and Rene was an accident waiting to happen.
