Throughout the story I have notice that the Kano sisters are vague about what they say. Malta Kano told him that he would face changes in his life that may seem bad but will turn out good. Creta Kano paid Okada a visit but never explained why her story of her encounter with Noboru was different than what Malta explained to Okada because she disappeared. Both sisters seem to be tangled in a web of lies and deceit.

Creta tells Okada that she's a prostitute and begins to tell him when she received Noboru as a client, but Okada asks her why her sister thought she was raped by Noboru. Creta disappears when Okada turns his back, and she leaves the question unanswered. I think she was probably in a secret relationship with Noboru since he's famous. He probably hurt her. They might meet again because history tends to repeat itself.

"The more one tries to see into the distance,the more generalized things become." Ms. Kano's comment to Mr. Okada made me wonder what's in store for Mr. Okada. It seems that she was telling him that the more he tried to look for an explanation, the more complicated things will get. It seems that she knows something about Mr. Okada's future but doesn't want to tell him because she wants him to focus on the present.
