ok a little annoyed with control & his rigid adherence to traditional logic but im hoping it’s leading to his worldview getting blown open at the book’s climax. loving the encounters with the biologist (queen) and the power struggle against Grace- both really do a good job of foregrounding the question of “authority”

so far just as mysterious as the first, hoping at least SOME questions about area X get answered seeing as this book takes place on the other side of the border (at least for now). control hasn’t hooked me in quite the same way the biologist did but im vibing w him.
