Night is a book written by Ellie Wiesel to discuss the horrors of the holocaust that he witnessed first hand. Ellie is a young Jewish boy that lives in the town of sighet, which was controlled by nazis during WWII. He and his family were taken from the home and sent to prison camps where he worked and suffered. The book is unlike any other I have read because it is horrifying and humbling at the same time.
