Though most of the book is pretty sad, it has a somewhat happy ending. Through Augustus's death, Hazel learns some things about herself, and her role in the world. This adds to the overall themes of the book, which are love, friendship, and life.-theme

Hazel gets put on BiPAP. She is in the hospital, just chatting with her parents. This is a very realistic moment, and it's easy and natural to visualize because it happens so often, even if it's not because of cancer. I feel a connection to this because it's a very real thing that happens almost every single day. All the time I see couples in movie and in real life acting like this, so it's very relatable.-connection

Hazel and Gus go to the Anne Frank house, then go back to their hotel room and kiss. I think that their parents have mixed feelings about them being a couple, because one or both of them is going to get hurt in one way or another.-prediction
