Not a fan. Last two hundred pages 80% torture porn. Substandard writer with a dispiriting view of humanity.
The old adage - great stories are about love and death, mediocre work is about sex and violence applies triple. Guy comes up with some decent cliffhangers and mostly enjoyed for first half but by end was sickened bye author's sadistic black and white world view - will never read something else bye Goodkind.
