there’s something so comforting about reading your own books without worrying about what others will think about them

Every time I read any of my books, my brain is editing like crazy and thinking, "Oh! What a shame people read it like *that*" (it takes me forever to read them).🤣😭
BUT. To your point, there is definitely a special delight in just relishing it and thinking, "Even if no one else likes this, I'm so glad it was written because I LOVE IT SO MUCH." 🤣
Man, this book is just... it's difficult to describe what it is for me. It's just so darn fun and cozy and so absolutely clicks with me (but in a very different way from almost all of my other books!); it's sharp and clever and adorable and sweet and light, and I'm just kind of in love with all of the characters (even the horrid ones) because the way they're written delights me and makes me giggle and feel utterly charmed (and comforted and peaceful).
