I think that the theme of this book may be never giving up, the constant effort put forth by each candidate of the testing shows the results of never giving up, the success of each candidate shows what can happen when you don't give up

Recently in my book, I have realized that the author has been less descriptive than earlier in the book, so it is lowering my interest level. For instance on page 68, "three Tosu city students are chosen" I would've liked to know who they were or at least if they looked, strong, weak, untrustworthy or maybe even mean or bossy. I feel like the author makes Cia right too much, for once I want Cia to be wrong.

October 12- I am about 1/3 the way done with this book. I feel like there are some parts where it needs more details. So far in this book, it is like an easier version of the testing. It has challenges where if you want you can work with your team or just try to go as quickly as possible. I feel like Cia is too close to her values because Damone will soon try to hurt her again and she will regret not leaving him.

October 9- I really enjoy this book because it is very fast paced and there are a lot of surprising things that keep me interested. For example, there was just a turning point where we found out Micheal is working with a secret organization to stop the testing. Also, I am very interested because when it gets boring something very interesting happens and I want to read on to see what happens so I continue reading.

October 4- I know I have just barely started but I can already tell I will love it. So far it mainly about the effects of the testing for example "months of restless nights"(pg. 2) usually you don't get months of restless nights. that shows that the testing had made it hard to sleep. Also, she was saying how she now is scared to take a test after having harsh consequences during the testing.
