June is very secretive. For example, when the chapter is her side of the story, almost the whole chapter the writing is all in her head, and she has almost no dialogue or conversations. The only time theirs dialogue is when she was being tested, and when someone started talking to her. For example, for about 20-25 pages of her side, June doesn't say a word (250-298)

The patriot soldiers are loyal. I know this because they risk their lives and fight against the government, even though it is illegal. For example, on pages 290 to about 310 the planted patriot soldiers risk their lives in the army base. " Razor:we have planted fake guards in the capitol " this proves that the soldiers are willing to do whatever it takes for the patriots.

The new Elector is very calm and collected about what he does. For example, when he talked to June after the lie detector test he didn't freak out or panic when she told him that his own hand picked guards were attempting to assassinate him. "June says : I'm telling you , the Patriots have planted guards to kill you." Then he says "ok, I will look into it." This proves that Anden is calm and collected.

Tess has changed since the first book. One example of this was on page 112, when Day is reunited with her, he notices how she seems to have matured since last time they were together, before he was caught. "I couldn't help noticing how she was different, maybe even attractive. I never noticed certain things I see now, I've always just seen her as my little sister.".
