Got a few problems already right before hitting chapter 3....If authors are going to collaborate on a series you better make sure that the stories match up when the characters meet. It doesn't here. Also, the line "But I'm so complicated and flawed." makes me want to stop reading. That is a super special snowflake alert that that character didn't say in the first book.
