Interesting hypothesis as to a motivation for British euro skepticism and Eastern European anti westernness. For the British, there is a trauma of loss of empire, a nostalgia for the power we once had, causing an inability to come to terms with the new global order and necessity for European collaboration rather than British exceptionalism.
