Khalil and Starr were on the way home, and a police officer stops them. he asks Khalil to get out the car, he does, Starr is still in the car... while the officer goes back to the patrol car, Khalil moves to ask Starr was she okay. Pow! the officer shoots Khalil Pow ! Pow! ... the officer shot Khalil three times, he falls to his death . Starr is shocked and doesn't know what to do ......

the book caught my attention, because the cover is really nice. from the beginning i liked the book, it just kind of related to me as a black girl . i havent read much, but right now kenya and starr were at a party , starr met up with her old bestfriend ... at the party somebody started shooting, and thats how far ive gotten
