Okay wait. Rambert is trying to escape the city to be with this wife. This is a bit interesting to me.

I am reading the reviews on this book. I must be missing something or not reading with a deep understanding and pretentious thinking. The characters aren’t very memorable to me and it’s making things more confusing. I am living with the thought that I am skipping over symbolizing and historical events that enhance the experience of the book. Maybe Camus is a bit too academic for me at the moment. I will push.

I fucking despise this book. I force myself to read a few pages.

I am always lost when reading this. I get there’s a plague and the narrator is keeping quiet on the alarming death rate and refusing entry of ships and supplies but what’s the plot. Is this more me learning more about what happens after a plague and during. It confuses me so much but I don’t want to give up. it’s 200 pages.
