The way it is written how deeply Ruth loves Hannah is so beautiful, despite them being so different from each other. Her process of sadness and emptiness is so human that as a reader you can't help but feel deep sympathy for her. Even the mundane parts of her life after the fact made me feel sick to my stomach because truly it is an unfortunate

Ruth is kind of nasty though. She does not give enough fucks

Ok it is very evident that these sisters are polar opposites of each other, and yet they are all each other have and that is what brings them together despite being so different huhu
