4. Not Poseidon wanting to fight Apollo just to be included with the rest of the fam, and Hermes wanting nothing to do with this.

5. Again, gods beefing and boxing one another only to go back home to chill is ridiculously worth it to read.

1. Hector's death starting with a cowardly run was much needed after his disgracing of Patroclus.

2. Where is the HectorxAchilles fanfic? Wdym you can't flirt with him as a boy might do with a girl? And "it's whole length in you flesh"???

3. "And yet the ash-wood spear of heavy bronze did not cut through his windpipe, so he had the power to speak in answer to his killer." Chills

Book 21 (and a bit of 20) is fucking hilarious:

1. Istg Achilles gets so kinky with the Trojans, and vice versa: The tongues of human beings twist and turn [...] Come on then, let us taste each other’s spears.; Do you not see how tall and fine I am?

2. "Asteropeus threw both spears at once, as he was ambidextrous." That's an understatement.

3. If I was called "my little twisty-foot" by my parent, I'd kms.

Briesis finally gets a grief specific to her own (albeit not passing the Bechdel test), but even a horse is allowed to speak, and Agamemnon blames Zeus for his ego, and wants a whole ass statue built IN THE MIDST OF WAR and post-death of Patroclus.

How tf is one supposed to take this seriously?

Not Hephaestus doodling a complete graphic novel with multiple narratives on a shield. Someone ask this guy to become an author.

Who could remember all the other names of those who followed them and roused the Greeks to war?

Oh, so you do get me.

1. "They spoke like this." Yeah, when would they stop?

2. Patroclus, my somewhat self-aware king, RIP.
Patroclus: This is no time to talk. We need to fight.
Also Patroclus: My goodness, you are quite the gymnast! What a fine somersault! [note: the guy is dead]

3. "You were third to slaughter me." - Iconic, even if Patroclus' death feels like a sham. Why did the schoolboy-yard grapple turn into Apollo armor-strip
