From thirty-three teeth we get more of the beliefs of our main character here, Dr. Siri. He is strong headed, just as strong in this novel as in the previous book he appeared in, fearing not potential punishments of the government(maybe he figures that they can't do much to him). The doctor does what he believes, what he finds right and true, like how he wandered beyond orders to investigate a drowning.
