The abandoned camper is actually a brilliant idea for a monster. It doesn’t have to chase anyone—it just sits there looking ordinary. Of course people are going to stop and check if someone’s inside or if it needs help. Our own curiosity is what puts everyone in danger, and I think that’s what makes the story so unsettling.
