Young Werther's ability to maintain his feelings regardless of the situation is incredible. Barely having arrived in the city, he already has problems with a dull man, whom he finds a nuisance due to their differing ways of thinking. However, he befriends the Count, with whom he can be himself. Furthermore, he is praised for his energetic and youthful attitude, which he appreciates and values.

Young Werther's grief is genuine. He loves Charlotte madly. Throughout the book, he loves her; she is there, ever-present, ready to soothe the young man's intense heart. But now that he will no longer have her hands to wipe away his tears, I don't know how this young man will ever find solace...

Werther contrasts the destruction wrought by man on nature with his poetic descriptions of it. This demonstrates that Werther truly loves the natural, the pure; he sings odes to life and purity purely for pleasure.

The young Werther, madly in love, cannot tolerate Albert's logic and courteous affection. Charlotte herself asks him not to behave this way when she is around. But Werther is too sentimental and driven by the moment to change his ways. His playful, happy, and radiant spirit is rarely seen in contemporary literature.

In the chapter for July 6th, Goethe perfectly captures the tenderness and unconditional kindness of childhood, with little Amelia offering her mother a small glass of water. That passage almost brought tears to my eyes—so sweet, so warm, so... innocent.

On June 19th, it's clear that Werther greatly appreciates, above all else, I would say, the widow's eyes.

"As long as those eyes are open," he says, "there's no danger of me falling asleep."

Finally, Werther meets Charlotte. He falls in love instantly. He dances with her, kisses her hand with tears in his eyes. The immeasurable love he feels for her is evident. Werther is overwhelmed by a torrent of emotions.

The romanticism to which the story is attributed is clear. It is described that Werther observed her every slightest movement and gesture.
