Seems full of reaches so far disguised in fairy tales eg I don’t think feminism ruined men, I think if masculinity is that fragile it’s not innate. I don’t think men need to be isolated from their families to become men.(I think that’s how societies groomed warriors). But the problems men face that are contended with in this book are worth thinking about.

I also think Judaism has a good model of masculine ritual that promotes being part of the wider community of men without being isolated from your family. In fact, it’s very pro family.

I also think it’s interesting George Lucas was so familiar with this same canon and decided to tell a story about where taking a boy and isolating him from his family to create a warrior, Anakin, backfired to the point of destroying democracy.
