Reading about racism and corruption is tough, but it feels important to know this history of where I’m living —and how it impacted cities across the US.

Finally reading one of the books that was lent to me too long ago! The personal connection to the author makes for a compelling center, especially since the storytelling is inclusive of such nuance.
