Alright book’s done - I liked this one. There were lots of pros and cons, but definitely better than the last one.

FAVORITE LINE: “The egg says nothing because it’s a goddamn egg” LMAO

I want to mention that I’m disappointed that the next book is focused on Conor when it should’ve been Matt. Matt has been mentioned in at least 2 books so he should’ve been Hunter’s main friend vs the emergence of a new character. Plus it seemed like she was teeing it off bc they kept mentioning how much of a big deal it was that Matt is the only black player in the hockey draft, like give the man his book!!!

I had an aha moment!!! I feel like they got the fruit fraternity idea (in the tv show) from this book because they all have to keep a hardboiled egg alive (as in it can’t break) if they want a team pet. Deep cut fs in the show I’m impressed

So far we are off to a good start. Definitely redeeming herself after the last book, jeesh. I like the tension, I like how this is going to be a slightly different trope than most of her books so far, and it seems like it’ll have some good conflict in the future. The only part that is weird is I hate Hunter bc of the tv show so trying to let that go since book Hunter is so different in the book lmao
