I like my book so much because of the character of Roen Tan, the protagonist. Even though Roen has Tao monitoring his every move, I like Roen because of his qualities. With those he is funny, sincere, and determined; all qualities I sympathize with. When he mourns the loss of Sonja, so do I. When he makes a joke, I laugh with him. Even when he gets shot, I feel his pain. This connection puts me in the story.

When the Prophus gives Roen a new car, they give him a beat-up, brown one. This color choice isn't random, it is an archetype. Obviously the author had the Prophus give Roen a brown car to represent its dullness and boring appearance. Thus, giving Roen a chance to blend in when on missions against the Genjix. Roen doesn't like the car, but eventually understands why it is necessary.
