I am currently on page 44 of A Walk to Remember. Out of the things I have read in this chapter I've gotten to know the narrator and main character better. He is smart, but he doesn't believe he is smart enough to get into the colleges that his dad wants him to get into. Landon is then convinced to join the student council so he joins. He is going to ask a girl to the dance and that is where i left off at.

In the first chapter I read, Landon Carter explains his life. He is involved in church, where Hegbert Sulliva, doesn't like his father that much. Like in The Christmas Angel, Sullivan's wife died giving birth to her child, Jamie. Landon realizes how long he has known Jamie, but ignored her. He now finds her attractive after all these years, she now has a woman's body and a nice tan from Bible school.
